1. Failure to wear correct personal protective equipment (hard hats, hi-vis vests, boots, gloves etc) 2. The Use of trainees and/or apprentices for skilled work beyond their capability and skill set
3. Failure to produce evidence of a safety management plan
4. Not willing to sign a written contract
5. Not willing to show their insurances and licences. Remember, accidents CAN happen, and when they do and your contractor is not insured - you WILL be liable. Don't take the risk and don't be afraid to ask questions and be provided with the right documentation
